Newborn Baby Girl Is Left With A Scar After Doctors Mistakenly Cut Her Face During C-Section
At a hospital in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region during childbirth, one newborn baby girl was left with a permanent scar on her cheek. This came after doctors miscarried her face during a C- section.
When Darya Kadochinkova, 19, a Russian woman was pregnant, she planned a natural birth but was later told she would undergo a cesarean section. This decision was made after a thorough examination when gynecologists were convinced that it would be a safer option for her delivery because the fetus in the womb took an uncomfortable position.
After unsuccessful epidural anesthesia, the young woman was given an intravenous anesthetic. When they showed her the baby, she was completely shocked to find a large/deep incision in her daughter’s face.
The cut was next to the nose, just below the right eye, and the young mother was told that her newborn baby girl was moving too much throughout the procedure, leading to this accident.
Suffering high fever following the surgery, she was still breastfeeding her daughter despite taking in antibiotics.
The young mother was planning to fill a case against the hospital, however, she was not sure what to do.
On the other hand, this incident comes a year after a brit mum last year claimed her baby had been left scarred for life after medics accidentally cut under her tot’s nose.
According to a recent study, almost 900 women who underwent C-sections showed that the percentage that they have experienced something similar is from 1.5 to 1.9.
